what we do founder My journey started as a Over the past several years I have encountered many people who are intrigued with my story-- and ask me “ ARE THERE OTHER PEOPLE LIKE YOU? I would love to talk to them” Yes there are! I would go on to tell stories about friends doing amazing things...and make some connections for them. I also began doing informal consulting with many of churches I spoke at...churches interested in serving others in their community-- but not sure where to start- or how to structure their community to best catalyze this mentality.. The Brown Study Foundry was born. It was started to create a platform for the innovative people I have encountered across the globe-- I continue to add these innovative voices who ‘s thoughts need to be virally spread. The Brown Study Foundry is a collective of these personalities... unique and powerful speakers and consultants who are affecting the world they walk through. You have my word that every man and woman who is a part of this collective will inspire and challenge the way you see leadership, your community, and your world. voices of action. voices of reason. voices of hope pastor and has me lead to forming a NPO focused on catalyzing do gooders across the globe. My faith roots were what drove me to stop talking about loving others- and do something about it. I kept me in touch pastors and schools who often invited me to come speak and tell my story. we’re agents of change how we work We also have a small team of personalities that consult with us- depending on the churches need. This makes our approach- flexible and strong- bringing together innovative thoughts, and catalytic agents. The Foundry is the main vehicle that Jimmy Spencer and Lisa Wentzel, the Founders of The Shema Movement, have created to assist churches move into the 21st century. Our consulting services typically happen through weekend leadership and speaking retreats for churches and leadership. We have a heart for people [especially folks of faith] finding their strengths and living out their purpose. We take our experience of getting people out of their seats and into their cities to serve and love- and we bring that experience to you. We also specialize in integrating organic [house churches and such] into your church. Everyone knows the church ball game is changing rapidly- but what do you do?
